L&A CPA LLP currently has seven partners. Five of these partners started as students with the firm, highlighting the importance we place on developing our students to their greatest potential.
We are a registered training office for the current CPAB program and will transition to the CPA program as it develops. We offer our students a personalized, three person mentoring program with assistance in planning, studying and evaluation.
Our students are given time off to study and take exams. For the Professional Designation exam, our students take the summer off and are able to devote 100% of their time to maximize their success potential.
Now Hiring Full Time Administrative Assistant – Lloydminster Office
The Administration department works as a team from a group workflow, which requires open communication and the ability to prioritize, allocate and complete tasks as needed to achieve our customer service goals.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Outlook, and/or DocuSign (Electronic Signature) software would be beneficial. The successful applicant will also be using Doc-it (electronic filing system and workflow tracking), Taxprep (Tax preparation) and Caseware (Year End Working Papers and Time management) software that are specific to the accounting industry, in which we provide training.
Team Duties and Responsibilities
- Front desk duties such as greeting clients
- Booking appointments
- Processing incoming and outgoing mail
- Answering and transferring incoming calls
- Daily mail and bank run
- Office data entry
- Administration of advertising and community support
- Processing and compiling completed client packages
- Signed paperwork management
Confidentiality is a key job requirement.
Office Atmosphere and Work/life balance
We foster a positive team atmosphere so finding the right fit is crucial. Regular office hours are Monday to Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, with the office closing Fridays in July and August. Overtime will be expected in our tax season which includes January to April and may be required in our busier months (June, September, December) to achieve filing deadlines. Overtime pay is credited at 1.5 times regular earnings based on a monthly requirement of working hours. We are happy to provide a comprehensive group benefits plan, including Life Insurance, AD&D, LTD, Medical and Dental. We also have a group RRSP program that can be joined after 3 months employment and after 1 year employment the successful candidate would qualify for employer contribution matching. The successful applicant will qualify for 3 weeks holidays. Salary is negotiable based on schooling and previous job experience but is anticipated to be $45,000 annually.
